i miss stopping by her house to visit,
now i live here waiting for the place to sell.
i miss our frequent shopping trips and going out to dinner.
i miss seeing her face at work, we worked at the same place.
i miss her phone calls, just to see what i was doing.
i miss her giving me advise, she always knew what to say.
i miss her unconditional love and support, even when i did stupid things.
i miss her telling me that everything would be okay.
i miss hanging out with her outside while she played with her horses,
now the fence is falling apart and the pasture is overgrown with grass.
i miss talking to her about our florida trip,
we had another one planned for next year.
i miss her when something super awesome happens,
because she is the first one i want to tell.
i miss her smile, her laugh, her hugs, everything about her.
i miss this lady.... most people call her mary
but i call her my mom

a little poem that i had picked for her service:
with tearful eyes we watched her suffer, and saw her fade away.
although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay.
a golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest.
God took her from this earth to prove
he only takes the best.
