sticks

a few reasons why i like to live in what most people would call 'the sticks'
we have privacy. only one semi-close neighbor.
nature is literally at the back door. i took this picture yesterday, a large herd of elk in our back yard.
when the doggies need to go outside to go potty, we just open the door. they have 2 1/2 acres to roam, we don't need leashes.
i have lived in the big city for a few years, and i don't at all miss sitting in rush hour traffic for what seems to be hours (especially when you have to use the bathroom)
on my drive to work there is only one stoplight/intersection.
if i wanted to i could lay out in the sun topless.. no one would know.
we have no water or septic bill, we have our own private well and sewer.
nighttime is super quiet.
you can SEE the stars!
if i want (not that i do) i can get a horse, a goat, a chicken, or a cow. heck i could get them all (if i wanted to)

  2. So I some how wish that I could have both worlds... there are things that I miiiiiss about LC, smaller towns and places-- they are charming and feel safe and cozy and familiar. But, I also love so much about the city-- the variety of people, things open at any hour, cafes and coffee-shops. :)
