we went to her 2 month check up just the other day. she's doing GREAT!
her weight was 7lbs 12oz 20 3/4" long. and averaging her weight gain @ 1oz to 1 1/2oz per day. they say having a preemie baby is a little bit different than having a baby at term. she's 9 weeks old. her corrected age is 2 1/2 weeks, really we can't expect her to be just like the other babies her age right now. but she will catch up before we know it. she is now definitely out grown her preemie sized clothes and diapers although some of the newborn size stuff is still too big on her.
kiara's beginning to hold her head up well and i am loving all the cooing sounds she's making. AND i think she's starting to smile at me, well i like to think they're smiles and not just gas. i'll just pretend they're smiles :)
poor baby had to get her immunization shots as well. got some cute crayon band aids. seriously i thought i was going to be okay with her having the shots. but.. ummm.. NO i was NOT, i almost cried with her :(
she is SO SO super cute! yay for her growing so well :) keep it up big girl!
