we were caught by surprise with a super winter storm.

'super' for the oregon coast.

it started snowing at 6pm. monday. while i was working. by the time i got off of work 12am,

there was a good 4 inches on the ground.

in the past i have not been scared to drive in snow.

but this time it was different. i literally could NOT back my car out of the parking spot.

i ended up getting a ride home from a friend with a big truck.

there was no power at home. most of lincoln county was without power.

chris and kiara were stuck in newport at his sister's house.
ended up having no power for 3 days.

on the second day of snow on the ground

i had to shovel my car out of my driveway because i couldn't get it out on to the highway. i actually had my car sideways on the driveway. scary!!
